Local PDF Merging Guide

Combine separate PDF documents into a single consolidated file directly on your smartphone without uploading sensitive agreements or invoices to external web servers.

Why Local On-Device Merging Matters

Many free online “Merge PDF” websites require you to upload your files to their remote cloud servers. For confidential paperwork such as property sale deeds, financial audits, medical records, or legal contracts, uploading to third-party web tools poses severe data leak risks.

Zero Server UploadsAll byte-concatenation operations take place purely inside your smartphone RAM.

Step-by-Step Merging Workflow

01

Open the Merge Tool

From the NVIN Scanner home screen, tap the 'Merge PDFs' action card in the utility tools section.

02

Select Target PDF Files

Browse your device storage or recent NVIN Scanner scans and select two or more PDF documents you wish to combine.

03

Order the Document Sequence

Drag the selected PDF file cards to position them in the exact order you want them to appear in the merged output.

04

Name & Compile

Provide a custom title (e.g., 'Consolidated_Property_Deed.pdf') and tap 'Merge Now'. The new consolidated PDF is generated instantly in local phone storage.

Note on Password-Encrypted PDFs

If any of the PDFs you select are encrypted with a password (e.g. bank e-statements), you will be prompted to enter the document password before NVIN Scanner can decrypt and append the pages to the combined file.
